~ Guestbook: 2003 ~

Here are my dear Guestbook entries for 2003
Thank you all for your support!

I couldn't believe my ears when my partner told me that lo & behold on CBC radio was an interview & songs by my favourite yodelling cowboy sensation. It's about time all Canadians get a chance to hear the sweet yodels & old country sound of Petunia! I hope I live to see the day when "zuzu sweetheart" will make it onto one of your future albums, (it has to be my all time favourite Petunia song). YOU put the "oh!" back into country music ... thanks for being you!
cheers & yodel lay hee hoo from the Valley Vixen :) (your biggest fan in the greater Killaloe area) !!!

Heard a couple of tunes of yours on a recently aired CBC radio show. I thought to myself "this is one of the most refreshing bluegrass-type musicians that I have heard in a while." I've played acoustic guitar/vocals blugrass style for a few years now and enjoy hearing other youthful players who are keeping that culture alive and fresh. Sounds good, keep strummin'

Hey, Petunia, when you coming back to Ch'town to play Baba's? Sure, the crowds ain't exactly big enough to be called crowds but those of us who do get out to hear you love your damn show. That guy from NYC sounds interesting (Danny P. Cash?) -- might be fun for the pair of you to do a tour of the maritimes. I think Ryan at Baba's would be interested.

hey petunia
It's me your buddy BJ. haven't heard from you since you played teh show in my basement. Everyone had a blast!! A friend called me and said that he went to see you in Fredericton and you said somethng about starting a punk band. I was wondering if maybe we taught each other something about music. I read your hitch-hiker's diary. It was very interesting. I'd like to hear from you. Drop me a line sometime, remember you always have a friend in halifax
take it easy, your buddy BJ
p.s. thanks for the ride back to Hartland from Quebec, if you wouldn't have picked me up we would have never met. rock on!!!

HEY PETUNIA! I'm the guy that you met in the subway in NYC SUBWAY singing Johnny Cash (God rest his almighty immoral soul) when the NY Post reporter showed up there and I was singing Ring of Fire with you and I came back to find you. HOW ARE YA, BUDDY? I found ya again! I see you're doing great. I still want to sing some Johnny Cash with ya. I understand that a memorial has been set for Nov 12 and I was hoping you could make it but I see you're pretty busy these days. When you can make time, I'm thinking we should take Nashville on the way to Austin. Let's do SXSW! (I met Carolyn Mark there 2 years ago, coincidentally, or not, btw. She's great. She might remember me as the cowboy gypsy cabbie. HA). I hope you can make it to the States in near future. Happy trails, good buddy.
Peace,
Danny P. Cash

Thanks, Petunia, for the very private show way back when it was snowy in Regina (it may still be snowy, for all I know!) I've been singing yer tunes and spreading the good news of Petunia, throughout the land, and I'll be seeing ya in Toronto on June 5 ... weather permiting. All the best, from the gal who couldn't wait for a ride home ... (with great regret!)
Cheers,

Took a while to find this site (even though it's a pretty obvious domain). Saw you in Calgary just before the Mecca burned away. Have been playing your long player ever since. I wish I'd have known about your other stops since then (must read the FFWD in minute detail from now on). You are one of the most honest singers I have ever heard. Your music is timeless. Keep on touring.

Wow Lorenzo and Tunia you guys created a real cool site and everything!! After all those years and crazy times busking on noisy Toronto streets to the Gladstone Hotel and Jammin' by the tracks, I still recall those memories of Adam , Tunia and our Trio of beers, guitars and Herbs picking out the best tunes now proud to see and hear Petunia take it to the rest of Canada. "Where's Adam?" Jesus is cool but I hope he don't forget Us! Play your Heart out Tunia!!! Peace

I took your advice and checked out some Jimmy Rogers and Woody Guthrie albums. They are both quite good but I liked Jimmy more. Maybe I'll buy it when I have a real job.

Hi there. I heard you on the Round-up (or was it the Sad Goat thing? Oh well) and I thought you were great! That ugliest bitterest thing song. I hope you get some of that 25 cents per blank tape tax, 'cause I don't pirate much Canadian stuff. I'll actually buy your album though, 'cause I doubt the bureaucrats can be trusted to get you the money. Checked your gigs list, sorry to see I missed you in Peterborough. Let me know when you'll be in town again. I can't go to see you in Toronto, 'cause its the ugliest bitterest...
